A neuropsychological assessment is a comprehensive assessment of cognitive/processing and emotional/behavioral functioning using a set of standardized tests as well as clinical procedures. Various areas of functioning are assessed, such as speech/language skills, visual/spatial processing, memory and learning, reasoning/problem-solving, regulatory skills and executive control processes (e.g. attention, planning, organization), fine motor skills, social/emotional/behavioral functioning, adaptive skills, and academic achievement. Interpretation of results is made is within the context of brain development. Detailed verbal feedback and a comprehensive written report are provided at the end of each evaluation.
